The Department of Food Technology was first established in 1996. Many specialized agronomists in Food Technology graduated from this department and are now contributing in many society fields.
The staff members of the Food Technology Department contributed with other universities to apply researches on food technology to find solutions to problems that face food factories. Moreover, the university is working on designing a new food processing unit to solve the problem of Local surplus products.
