Chairman Message

We are honored to announce the 4th version of our  International Conference on Basic and Applied Sciences (ICBAS IV) and the 1st  Scientific Symposium on COVID-19 Pandemic. The Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University-Gaza (AUG) is privileged and pleased  to host and organize the ICBAS IV and the COVID-19 symposium  which will be convene on the 9th-10th March, 2022. This comes upon our commitment and vital role for developing scientific knowledge and research outcomes.  We are glad to invite you to attend and submit your participation in these scientific activities and gatherings that include plenary and keynote lectures, oral, poster, and videoconferencing sessions. Warmly, we would like to welcome all colleagues, researchers and attendees from Palestine and worldwide.

ICBAS IV and COVID-19 symposium seek to provide special opportunity for academic, scientists, and researchers, to convene, present, discuss, and share their latest experiences, and exchange their scientific findings, to address newly emerging trends and challenges in the science community. Scientists coming together in this celebration for solving scientific dilemmas will bring about profound solutions and recommendations to the community. It is worth mentioning that the contribution of previous versions  of this gathering (ICBAS I, ICBAS II,  and ICBAS III) have added distinctive values to the science community.

ICBAS IV COVID-19 symposium endeavor to promote knowledge and to find answers to standing questions and challenges of the Palestinian society, and of concern to scientists on short and long terms. The conference and symposium will also assist the Palestinian researchers specially in the besieged Gaza Strip to gain new experiences by interacting with their colleagues and counterparts scientists and scholars from other countries. Researchers are believed to be motivated to utilize and empower the relationship with other research groups and institutions to facilitate joint scientific research.

We are full of gratitude to all those supporting our ICBAS IV and COVID-19 symposium which will be launched on 9th of March 2022 and lasts for 2 days. On behalf of the conference and symposium committees and chairmen, I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to President of Al-Azhar University-Gaza, Professor Omar Melad, for his great concern, substantial follow up   and full support for these scientific activities of the faculty of science. My sincere gratitude are extended to all conference and symposium committees for their efforts to make this event real and distinguished.

Finally, on behalf of the ICBAS IV and COVID-19 committees, it is our pleasure to invite you to participate  and share academic research and lived experience in this multidisciplinary forum and thus contributing significantly  to  the success of ICBAS IV and COVID-19 symposium.
