AUG students participate in Startup Weekend Education Contest

On May 3, 2016, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology; Prof.Dr. Sami Abu Naser, a number of faculty members and a group of students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at AUG participated in Startup Weekend Education. Startup weekend education is a contest for owners of creative entrepreneurial ideas sponsored by Google and is held annually throughout the world. This contest is its first time to be held in Gaza.  

Students; Mais Nizar Elwhedi, Sahar Mamdouh Al-Tebi and Khalil Ahmed Suleiman received 5th place among thousands of participants in a creative project titled Mokhtabary: My laboratory; an application for mobile tablets. The application simulates the virtual reality experiments in the Palestinian curriculum and allows students to interact with the technological experiment in an easy way instead of practicing the experiment in crowded school laboratories.  

It is worth mentioning that Mokhtabary: My laboratory application received a 6 month embrace from the Palestinian Business Incubator (picti) and will be published on a global level.
