Scientists from Rousse University teach their colleagues in Gaza
Successfully completed the first year of the i-CARE project to Increasing the Conformance of Academia towards Rehabilitation Engineering, Rousse University reported. There are a total of 8 higher schools - partners - four from Gaza and four from the European Union, one of the European ones being Rousse University. Coordinator is the Al Azar University in Gaza, represented by Dr. Ahmed Isa.
In the first year, lecturers from the Department of Public Health and Social Affairs of the Faculty of Public Health and Health Care introduced their colleagues in Gaza to good practices in rehabilitation technologies and created prerequisites for starting a rehabilitation engineering training at partner universities in Gaza.
The project has a budget of EUR 914,469 and aims to transfer knowledge and skills in rehabilitation technologies from established European academic institutions to universities and hospitals in the Gaza Strip within three years. The next year is a visit of a group of teachers from Gaza to Rousse. They will undergo an accelerated Kinesiology course, which will lead their colleagues from Rousse University.
