Specialists from the University of Rousse teach rehabilitation engineering to colleagues in Gaza
Teachers from the University of Rousse teach rehabilitation engineering to colleagues in Gaza on the i-CARE project. This is reported by the high school in the Danubian town.
The i-CARE project - Increasing the Conformance of Academia towards Rehabilitation Engineering is funded under the Erasmus + program of the European Union. It involves a total of eight partner higher education institutions - four from Gaza and four from the European Union, one of them being Rousse University.
Within the first year of the implementation of the project activities, lecturers from the Department of Public Health and Social Activities of the Faculty of Public Health and Health Care at Rousse University have introduced their colleagues in Gaza to the good practices in the rehabilitation technologies. So they have created prerequisites for rehabilitation engineering training at partner universities in Gaza.
The aim of the project is to transfer knowledge and skills on rehabilitation technologies from established European academic institutions to universities and hospitals in the Gaza Strip within three years.
The next year is to visit a group of Gaza trainers in Rousse. They will undergo an accelerated kinesiology course, which will be led by their colleagues from the University of Rousse.
