This study aims at determining the co-morbidity of psychosocial problems among substance abusers according to abused substances, psychological disorders and their prevalence, and the common abused substances among outpatients' substance abusers. A total of eighty five outpatient substance abusers attending EnNaser Psychiatric Hospital during a two month study, were interviewed separately, and a structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The psychological disorder was measured by using General Health Questionnaire ( GHQ-28) and substance abuse was determined by using Diagnostic Statistical Manual ( DSM-IV) criteria. Using the frequencies and one way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) assessed the association between substance abuse and psychological disorders. Prevalence of psychological health disorders among drug abusers was (92.9 %), The results showed that abused substances, which were used compulsively and dependently by the abusers are: Coke (54.1 %), Bango and Hashish (21.2 %), Psychotropic (20 %), and Alcohol (4.7 %).
