Welcoming Ceremony 2017

Sept. 14, 2017 – In coordination with the Faculty of Medicine, the International Federation of Medical Students' Association (IFMSA)–Gaza held a ceremony to welcome the fresh students to the Faculty.

Dr. Marwan Al Agha, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Dr. Essmat Abo Assaker, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Student Maisara AlRayyes., Head of IFMSA in Gaza in addition to a number of the faculty staff members and students attended the ceremony.

In IFMSA speech, AlRayyes highlighted the great efforts of the federation over the past ten years to promote health awareness through conducting various workshops and training sessions.

Dr. Abo Assaker extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students for their distinction, welcoming them to the Faculty and wishing them every success in their academic life.

 In the university remarks, Dr. Al Agha expressed AUG's proudness of the enrolment of the elite students to its community.

The ceremony included a film that showed IFMSA's activities in the Faculty of Medicine. Furthermore, third-level Student Kariman Toman played Oud for national Palestinian songs during the ceremony.
