Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Khawla Shakhshir visits AUG

Bringing a strong message of the Palestinian unity and demonstrating a firm commitment to achieve the national reconciliation, a delegation of five ministers from the Palestinian Unity Government paid a visit to AUG on December 30, 2014 The visit was initiated with a great ovation from the Chairman of the Board of Trustees - Dr. Abdulrahman Hamad as well as from Prof. Abdel Khaliq Al Farra - the President of AUG who both expressed their great pleasure for the ministerial visit which came to support the University and its academic progress. In turn the ministers; Haifa al-Agha -Minister of Women'sAffairs, Khawla al-Shakhsheer- Minister of Education and Higher Education, Muhammad Salim al-Hasania- Minister of Public Works& Housing in addition to the Minster of Heath Jawad Awwad conveyed the greetings of the Prime Minister – Dr. Rami Hamdallah to AUG and its academic and administrative staff, appreciating the University's role as a remarkable higher education institution dedicated to providing a qualitative education system and building the creative and innovative capabilities destined to shape the future of Palestine. The delegation concluded their visit by taking a tour in the Faculty of Medicine where they expressed their admiration of its advanced equipment and developed infrastructure.
