Dean's Message

I am privileged and honored to have been given the opportunity to head the Faculty of Science, the beating heart of Al Azhar University. From its inception in 1991, the Faculty of Science has been the backbone of Al Azhar University, playing a vital and central role in contributing to its mission. Several faculties such as Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences and Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology were emerged from the Faculty of Science. Moreover, the Faculty contributes effectively in providing the essential materials to leading faculties such as Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Engineering.

Taking great pride in the high quality of our academic and scientific capabilities, we seek to have a prominent role in building a new generation, capable of meeting the community's needs in a way based on a scientific basis. The Faculty is dedicated to keeping pace with modern scientific development through updating its academic programs and presenting new qualitative disciplines equipped with the best technical equipment and laboratories.

Our main goal in the Faculty is to work according to the international and national accreditation standards in addition to provide a dynamic learning environment in order to graduate distinctive scientific competencies, eligible to run their work or complete their academic program for master's and doctoral degrees. The Faculty has opened postgraduate programs in a spectrum of disciplines such as Chemistry, Mathematics and life sciences, and it seeks to open more diverse programs.

Please browse our website and find out more about the Faculty of Science. We hope to meet you soon.
