Faculty of Science Honored its Scientists
Feb 28, 2016 - Under the auspices of the Board of Trustees, the Faculty of Science organized an honoring ceremony of the faculty staff members who got academic promotions in the period between 2012-2016.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Hamad - Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Nabil Al Shawa- Treasurer of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Abdelkhaliq Al Farra – President of AUG, Dr. Amal Al Kahlout, Dean of the Faculty of Science and a number of the university council as well as the university academic and administrative staff.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Al Kahlout welcomed the attendants, congratulating her colleagues for their remarkable accomplishment. Dr. Al Kahlout also briefed about the faculty's journey, its scientific and research achievements and the outstanding status of the faculty staff members.
In his turn, Prof.Dr. Al Farra extended his heartfelt congratulations to the distinctive academics who have received promotions. He went on to say "AUG and the Palestinian people are very proud of the success you achieved in the field of scientific research."
In the Board of Trustees speech, Dr. Al Shawa praised the efforts of the Board of Trustees and the university administration in supporting the scientific research and researchers at AUG to achieve sustainable development in the Palestinian society.
It's worth mentioning that the academics who received full professor promotion Prof. Dr. Usama Zaineldeen, Prof. Dr. Jamal Shenan, Prof. Dr. Abdelnasser Abushahla, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Sirdah, Prof. Dr. Naji Al Dahoudi, Prof. Dr. Hassan Ashour, Prof. Dr. Nasser Abu Ghalwa, Prof. Dr. Atta Abu Hany, Prof. Dr. Marawan Elkhazendar, Prof. Dr. Nedal Qaoud. The faculty staff who got associate professor promotion Dr. Usama Hegazy, Dr. Amal Al Kahlout, Dr. Madhat Sadallah, Dr. Said Lubbad, Dr. Hassan Tamos, Dr. Anwar Ayyad, Dr. Mazen Hamada, Dr. Emad Abu El Khair, Dr. Khalid Ubeid. Dr. Saleh Mwafy got the promotion of assistant professor.
