AUG Reaps 6 HESPAL Scholarships

 Jul 18, 2016 –Al Azhar University – Gaza (AUG) got the largest share of Higher Education Scholarship Palestine (HESPAL) this year. Six of AUG graduates were awarded HESPAL scholarships to pursue their higher studies in the most prestigious UK universities.

The scholarships, five towards master's degrees and one Ph.D. degree, will be in the fields of Engineering and Information Technology, Pharmacy, Education, Arts and Human Sciences, and Economics and administrative sciences.

  On this occasion, Dr. Awni Abu Saman, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and HESPAL Coordinator in AUG, congratulated the students, commending on their remarkable efficiency and ability to compete with their peers from other universities.

It is worth to mention that HESPAL scholarships, supported by the British Council, aimed to    upgrade a generation of distinctive academics who can maintain international quality standards at Palestinian universities and to develop renewed, sustainable links between Palestinian and UK universities.
