AUG Achievement on QS News2WOWU Cover

May 25, 2017 - QS News2WOWU newsletter published an article entitled "Al Azhar University Students Develop Gaza's First Solar Car" on its cover, issue no. 24 for the first quarter of 2017.

The article celebrated the achievement of two students Jamal Al Miqate and Khalid Al Bardawil from Mechatronics Department who developed Gaza's first prototype solar-powered car, in light of the permanent electricity blackouts and diesel shortage in the besieged Gaza Strip. Jamal and Khalid manufactured the car from scratch; recycling pieces obtained from old devices and amended it with needed additions due to the unavailability of such materials in the besieged Gaza Strip for 10 years.
