October 2, 2018 - AUG received Ms. Christina Stahlbock, Director of ‘DAAD’ in Jerusalem and a meeting was held in the presence of Prof. Hani Nejm, the University President, Prof. Sami Musleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mahmoud Sardah, Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Nihaya Al-Talbani, Dean of Planning and Quality, Dr. Ali Awad, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Dr. Ahmed Abu Shaaban, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, and Dr. Awni Abu Samaan, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Hani Nejm welcomed Ms. Stahlbock and expressed his gratitude to ‘DAAD’ for its efforts to raise the efficiency of higher education system in Palestine in general and AUG in particular.
During the meeting, it was agreed to strengthen the cooperation between the university and ‘DAAD’ by encouraging and allowing the university graduates and academic staff to benefit from the scholarships provided by the institution, as well as the development of cooperation to serve the Academic Programs offered by the different faculties of the university
For her part, Ms. Stahlbock expressed her pleasure to visit AUG. She briefed about the projects offered by DAAD including its encouragement to graduates, teachers and teaching assistants to apply for scholarships for master's and doctoral degrees.
At the end of her visit, Ms. Stahlbock managed to visit the College of Engineering and Information Technology; where she met with the Dean of the College and several faculty members and graduates; and urged them to prepare their applications for DAAD’S scholarships next year.
