The Symposium aimed at discussing the implications of the racist law which was recently approved by Knesset, on the Palestinian cause.

After welcoming the attendees, Prof. Abu Tawila highlighted that the law follows the UN resolution that gave the Jews a national homeland in Palestine, he noted that it all started with Law 181, of which Israel imposed control over the Palestinian territories through the dissemination of the Hebrew language, Judaization of the land and Palestinian identity.

Dr. Mekhaimar, highlighted that the West Bank contains more than 3300 archaeological landmarks that are indicative of Palestinian identity. He also talked about Israel’s nonstop efforts in seizing the historical archaeological landmarks of Palestine and change its names into Hebrew

During his speech, Dr. Abu Nahl mentioned that Palestinians would never give up the refugees' right to return to their land by passing such a racist law.

For his part, Dr. Shbair, stressed that this law is dangerous, and must be dealt with, because it is contrary to reality, life and democracy.

The event was concluded with Q&A open session.
